Gyirmót is situated 6 km far from Győr in direction of Pápa where a 20 ha near-natural multifunctional complex is waiting for its visitors, called Rodeo Ranch.

It offers us a high standard and multi-facilitated recreation center for lovers of adventure, challenges and extreme sports. At an unique location far from the madding crowd.

The Rodeo Ranch offers exciting and adventurous programs for those who would like to put themselves to the test. Professional feedback and guidance is guaranteed by members of the DUNA and the RODEO TEAM .

Gyirmóti Laci bácsi’ was the only farmer in Hungary who knew personally the famous farmer from Dallas the USA, Cowboy Billy. Oncle Billy who was admired by the whole farmer society.

After the Hungarian war of independence in 1848-49 ’, Gyirmóti Laci bácsi’ moved into America to start a new, happier life. He worked at the ranch of Cowboy Billy. He served his generous employer for a long time and on a dark early-autumn-day a mysterious catastrophe occured: till today nobody knows the reason but the stables of the ranch caught fire while Cowboy Billy was sleeping there between his favourite animals. He did this every afternoon. ’Gyirmóti Laci bácsi’ rescued Uncle Billy and his animals with grim courage from the burning shed. As a sign of his thankfulness Cowboy Billy presented a lot of money and two bulls to his brave rescuer. Laci moved back to Hungary and established his own farm, called Rodeo Ranch. The bulls living today in Rodeo Ranch are the descendants of the two bulls from America.

Who will take home the Golden Bull?

The road leading to the Golden Bull is not easy. It is however an exciting one, full of surprises.

In smaller teams we stand up against the dead Indian, after which the hurdle race is waiting for us, a quad race and the following obstacles block ’the road

to glory’:

• Wild west gunshooting
• Beercrates climbing race
• Rodeo Quiz
• Horseshoe throwing and nail hammering

After the conquest of the mechanic Bull we gather at the ARENA. Where the end game, the fight against real bulls is planned: Teams have to grab the coloured bands from the heads of one of six bulls!

After each successful exercise the teams deserve old Hungarian coins (from the ages of Laci Bácsi). With these coins some nice Hungarian souvenirs can be sold.

At the end of the program the winning group takes home the Golden Bull.

The DUNA and RODEO RANCH instructors of course will wear clothes fitting the theme!
