Single Malt Experience – The whisky workshop
Testimony: The Single Malt Experience is an interactive tour from the Scottish Highlands to the seaside by smell, taste and ‘after-taste’. We tasted the finest single malt whiskies from all six famous Scottish whisky regions.
The famous Whisky Talker was dressed like a real Scotsman and waited for his guests at the door; no one able to enter the room without being part of a photo with him! Take a look at: http://www.arti.hu/singlemalt/).
Once everyone had arrived and felt comfortable, of course helped by the first glass of malt whisky, the presentation could start. The Whisky Talker guided the guests through the world of single malt whisky; he spoke about its history, about the beautiful nature of Scotland, about the whisky-making process and of course about how to taste whisky.
The process of how to make single malt whisky
- “Seven steps to heaven”
- Kilning – peat!
- How to drink and taste it
A lot of whisky lovers prefer their dram neat. Enjoy the excitement of the first taste, when the liquid pours softly over your tongue and rises in your palate. Each sip of whisky will surprise you with a lot of flavours and a long aftertaste.
After tasting six kinds of whiskies from the best Scottish distilleries such as Bowmore, Campbeltown, Glenfiddich and Anchentoshan, the participants had to fill in the single malt test.
The test is about the smell, taste, colour and history of the six excellent whiskies which stood right in front of every single participant. Everyone received six whisky-tasting glasses filled with the various types of single malt whiskies.
Motivated and helped by the Whisky Talker, the six whiskies had to be smelled, discovered and tasted! The winner of the test went home with their set of six single malt glasses. It turned out a little peculiarly as the winner proved to be the most sober person in the room. He only scored in the smell and colour tests….
Of course no one can leave with empty hands: mini malt whiskeys are the perfect gifts, which are perfectly fit the theme.
